Changing letter designation of new hard drive

  johnexpgn 12:12 12 Jul 07

I have just had an additional hard drive fitted to increase storage space. My original c drive was divided into two partitions c & f.
I have now moved all the data from the f partition to the new hard drive and deleted the old f partition on the old drive.
I would now like to call the new drive f but the computer designated the letter I to it. Is there any way I can do this?

Go to START, then right click "My computer" and select "manage", then select "disk management" on the left, right click the drive to change and choose "Change drive letter and paths", then click "change" and choose the letter.
