changing drive letters from d to c

  hgrock 10:12 10 Nov 08

hi all, i recently had to reinstall xp, i have 2 partitions on the laptop i deleted the c using the xp disk installation and recreated it formatted and installed xp, but i have now noticed the drive is now a logical drive d, i am thinking of changing the drive letters and making the drive primary in admin tools. My question is: would that interfere with my data in that drive d if it was changed to c primary, the only reason i am thinking of changing is that a flash player looks for drive c to install itself,
thanks for any help or advise

As it's the system partiton you will have problems click here

You really need to find out why you ended up with a logical drive with D assigned to it.
Have you changed the disc controller, or do you have any partitioning tools installed? There must have been an issue with the system configuration.
