Changing default page margins in Office XP

I have a printer that is able to print all the way to the edges of the page so i like to change the page margins to 5mm. The problem is that every time a start a new document in Office XP the page margins are reset back to the original defaults so I need to change them again. Is there a way to change the default margins to my own sizes?

Page setup/margins and set from there, but don't click on the "OK" button, click the "Default" button, they will then stay to that size until you change them again. j.

Your methid has worked in Word but there is no "Default" button to press in the page setup for Excel. Is there a way of doing it in Excel?

In mine, if i click on File/page setup/margins/options, it takes me to my printer setup and I can choose border-less from there. I think it will depend on the printer though.

I can't see the option from within Excel itself, but others will know if it's possible. j.
