hi,just got a netgear DG834G to replace a BT Voyager 2000 adsl wireless router, at the moment all is fine with the voyager running two laptops, can some bright spark tell me, If i can pluck up the courage to change the voyager to the netgear will it keep all my settings so that i can still share files and the like, I had to get someone else to set it up for me in the first place, hence my nerve going...........thanks for any advice.......

When the set-up is first performed, the data is "burned" onto a chip inside the router and should not change unless you "re-burn" it.

And with the new router, there will not be much to do to allow the LAN to function normally, other than enter your workgroup name in the appropriate section.
