Change VGA RAM value on Acer Laptop

Have an Acer travelmate 240 laptop, want to increase the VGA ram from 16mb to 64mb

Cant see a setting in the bios or in windows

Any ideas please

As far as I can see the bios won't allow you to do so. A 'very quick' glance at the manual doesn't mention anything about it. click here

Never seen an option to do so on a laptop. Otherwise you'd be getting a more expensive graphics set up for free...

Well in the VGA settings area in display properties, there is a report section that says "min VGA RAM 16mB mAX 64mB" so I presume that it is there somewhere.

I have emailed Acer support, so we shall see how long it takes to get a reply
