How do I change which program a file opens in?
All my jpg files open in PaintShop and display a paint shop icon.

Can you change all jpgs in one go?

My computer--Tools--Folder options-- File types--

Scroll down to jpeg and select. In opens with, will say paintshop, click change box and select your new program from the lists provided.

Try using Control and Right Click

Just right-click and select Open With, then choose program, and wait for the list to come up. Then choose the program, and check the box that says "Always use this program to open these files."

My Pleasure

It doesn't work for me with Win98SE. Picture Viewer has somehow grabbed all my JPGs. I have never asked it to change file types. If I left click on a JPG file icon, Picture Viewer opens as soon as I press shift. I cannot get rid of it by the File Type route, either, and I cannot print from it. There is often a crash, too. I have reinstalled Picture Viewer without success. I have to open all JPG files in Adobe Photoshop. Can I get all JPGs out of Picture Viewer in one go, please?
