I recently change my ISP, but the name of the previous one still apears in the IE6 title bar. Can anyone help with advice on how to change this

you can debrand it so there is no "provided by" if you want. try fourth one down click here

First close down Internet Explorer then click Start and Run. In the Open dialog box type:

rundll32.exe iedkcs32.dll,Clear

(note the space after .exe and comma
before Clear)

and click OK.

After restarting Internet Explorer the annoying ISP branding should disappear.

You can also add your own name on the bar if you wish using TweakUK.

Found this by accident this morning:
In regedit navigate to this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Internet Explorer > Main
Double click "Window Title" to change the value of the string to whatever you want on the title bar of Internet Explorer - to have no title except the title of the web pages you are browsing do not enter anything for a value.
