change colour of fonts on desktop icons

I am using XP home & would like to change the font colour on the desktop icons

Right click on the desktop , select properties , then appearance , then advanced , from the drop down boxes you can alter the font size , colour , window background , gradient across the top of a page , just about anything , have a play , it's fun !!

Hi, if I remember correctly that route does not allow one to change the Desktop Text colour, as per the original question.

Was working from ( cloudy ! ) memory , don't have an XP machine to hand , all on Vista now .....
