chanell40d and netframework 2 what is this

my daughter is trying to install channel 40d and netframework 2 is popping up to install,this is rewriting the reg values so i stopped the install before finding out more,is this safe to install both,i think 4od is a prog for viewing channell 4,ithink its like iplayer but its available in Ireland but Iplayer is not.any ideas please thanks

iNETFramework is from Microsoft and is perfectly safe to install.

It's also used, IIRC, by ATi graphics cards' drivers.

I don't use the C4 service, but if iNETFramework is required then you will need to install it.

Vista has 3.0 included; you can find XP's version here along with 3.5:
