cfwtracker error message

What does this error message mean, please:'The exception floating-point inexact result occurred in the application at local cfwtracker.exe Application Error'.

I did a scan with SpyDoctor which didn't show any problems.

Many thanks, as always.

many thank, VoG. It sounds as if it *is* the performance monitor program. I'll go onto the desktop pc and see if I can remove it, but don't know where to find it. I'll report back!

Hmm... A search for cfwtracker has found the following in the c:\drive:
cfwtracker.msi in c:\downloads, modified on 22 JAN 2009.
cfwtracker.exe-267bBetc in windows/prefetch
cfwtracker.sbd in windows/system32
cfwtracker.exe in C;\Program Files/Clarity Framework\Tracker\bin
I was going to remove DMS Clarity-metrics tracker, using ctl>Add/Remove programs, but then noticed that the dfwtracker.sdb is dated 29 MAY 2006.
So - should i remove it or not?

I don't see what harm it can do to uninstall it. The date is probably the file creation date.

Thanks for the link, sea urchin. Actually, I haven't seen the message for a few days, so perhaps it has sorted itself out. I thought that it was a virus at first. I'll mark this as resolved.
