centrino 54mbps

Hi,Sorry for starting another thread,I closed my previous one too early :-(

I have just created a connection between my laptop and pc.

According to the router settings(netgear rangemax),it is transmitting at 108mbps.

The laptop is centrino, the wireless properties states it is transmitting at 54mbps.

Can this be increased to match the router?.

Cheers all

Only if it has a " turbo " setting or something similar , have a look in Device manager under the advanced tab , if there is anything like that it will be there , otherwise see about getting an Atheros chipset wireless mini pci card to replace your current one ( AR5002 upwards I think )
