CDFS Windows 7 Clarity Problem

Hi, I recently bought a CD from a reliable store. When I got it home and tried to play it through my laptop, it sounded extremely grainy and bad quality. I originally thought there was something wrong with the disk, as other CD's work perfectly fine on my laptop. This was until I tried to play the CD on a different PC which runs Vista. It played perfectly. I researched it and found out that there are issues with Windows 7 playing the CDFS format, which is what this CD happens to be. I have tried ripping it onto my hard drive and that didn't work. Is there any way to make this CD play clearly on my laptop or do I have to re-download it through iTunes, wasting more money?
