I have been using the CD x rescue program from your DVD spring 2004 edition
happily untill I up graded to XP and a new hard drive
I have been unable to reactivate the program using the id and password they provided id 3622729 password 88371. as CD studios has gone bust,
is this now a dead program

I haven't used this program before, but if it needs "activating" via an internet connection and the company no longer exists, then the tool will be "dead" as you put it

brian3 - unfortunately it is a dead program. Which is a particular shame as the application was extremely useful. As 321 Studios went into administration, there is no longer a support department or currently-maintained website, and naturally all their employees were made redundant.

I'm still looking for a suitable replacement - there are other tools around, but none so effective as CD X Rescue for retrieving data from damaged CD-ROMs.

kind regards
