A friend of mine is having trouble installing some programs on XP via his CD-ROM drive, the following error message appears:-

16 bit Windows subsystem

C:\windows\SYSTEM32\autoexec.nt.

The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and microsoft windows applications. Choose 'close' to terminate the program.

He says he has no problem playing audio CDs.

Many Thanks
Steve.

And where it says

1. Insert the CD into the CD drive or DVD drive.

It means the Windows CD.
