CD Rom has a bad block

I have a NT computer and everytime I logon I get a message telling me that at least one device or driver failed during system startup. Use event Viewer to examine the event log for details. When I look in the event viewer the message tells me that the device \deviceCDROMO, has a bad block. Does anyone know what this means and how I can resolve the problem.

From the even viewer, can you let me know the Event ID number, and I'll see what I can find out...

Stupidhead, the Event ID is 7. Thanks!
