For the first time today I put a CD into my E-Drive and got no response even though the LED indicator is blinking. Going into MY COMPUTER there is no indication on the E DRIVE of the inserted disc and when I click onto the E-DRIVE I get the message "is not accessible". I have tried accessing repeatedly and switching off the computer but to no effect.

Anybody got any bright ideas?

Check that the ide cable is properly connected. Sometimes just disconnecting and reconnecting is enough to restore contact. If that does not work try another cable you know to be sound. If that does not work, perhaps your drive has expired. Fortunately new ones are cheap.
