CD Rom Drive - Non Recognition

On attempting to create a Disaster Recovery Set (using Backup MyPC software), I experienced the following problem.

During the preparation stage, I inserted the Windows 98 SE CD as the programme requested. After a very brief interval, Backup MyPC then put up the following message:

The File on Windows 98 SE CD-Rom cannot be found. Setup cannot find the source disk - Please make sure that the disk is inserted properly, then click OK.

Error Details - The device was not ready (Error No: 15) Setup could not finish opening a file on the source disk.

Source File: E:\win98\

I did try reinserting the W98 CD but the result was the same.

When running software CDs and carrying out a normal routine data backups to a CD each day, no such problems are experienced.

Have you any idea what is causing this problem and how I can rectify it ?

I presume there is no point continuing with the creation of a Recovery Set if the file is not on it ?

Regards to everyone
