Looking for a stand alone CD Printer.
I know Argos do one made by Casio, but is there any better ones out there.

Preferable from DABS, click here, click here, Ebuyer.com

Would like to be able to print direct to a CD Surface if its possible.

Many of the 'photo printers' incorporate a CD printing facility.
Epson R200/300/800 for example
but Canon/HP They are all at it.

not really sure what you call them. I have seen in the past where you can put a CD in and it can print onto the surface of the CD.

I see TDK do them but are they any good ?

I have the Epson R200 printer which will print direct to CD. I haven't tried it yet because I don't have any printable CDs. click here

Printable CDs are around £19 for 50, (about 38p each). Just found some unbranded printable CDRs for £20 a 100. click here and scroll down to Sumvision.

My sons Epson R200 and my R300 both print direct to CD's with perfect results. Both are under £100.

We have several R200 and 300 printers. They are very good photoprinters as well.
