CD Player self activating

I have a Samsung laptop running Win7 and, without having downloaded anything new or changed any settings, the CD player has started self activating no matter what I'm doing on the comp.

Completely at random it tries to read the CD (the tray is empty). It does that a couple of times, and then it ejects the tray. It doesn't matter whether I'm using the comp or not - so it's not a certain keypress that's doing it - it just does it at random.

The CD tray is on the right of the laptop - right where the mouse is - and the tray powers out so fast it flicks the mouse off of the edge of the desk!

Any ideas?

Is your antivirus doing a back ground scan at the time?

look in Task manager processes to see what might be running.

Many thanks Fruit - I turned Ad-Aware off and it seems to have stopped doing it.
