CD install on laptop

I have a work laptop that connects to a server there. The problem I have is that I wish to install a program from a CD at home. The installation won't work because the laptop tries to find the server's N drive (which of course is not connected at home.). I want the program to go onto the laptop's C drive. How can I do this? Thanks for any ideas.

When you go to load the software, a window will appear with the path to load, by default yours must be set to the n drive. At this prompt it should ask if this is were you want it to load, say no and it should let you select another path, select your c drive

Unfortunately it gives error 1327 invalid drive N during the install shield process. I don't get a chance to continue the install as it cancels it at this point.
