cd to hard drive

hi i know this is probably easy i have a program that needs the cd to in to run i want to copy the cdd to the hard drive, i am ok with that, but how do i tell the program its self to look on the c drive and not d drive ?

Can you not do a full installation of the program? That would be best.

there is a program called virtual drive that fools the program into thinking that the disk is in the cd drive but is loaded onto the harddrive but its not free. maybe someone knows of a free utility that does the same thing.
