Hi All,
When I put a disc in the drive it will not autorun.
I have to go into my computer and click on the drive to open up the disc.
Also, I have just placed a music CD into the drive to see if that will autorun (It Didn't) BUT when I went to my computer and the CD drive it is still showing the previous CD.
I am running windows XP Pro
Can you help?
Cheers,
Flobby

Open My Computer, right click on the drive and select Properties. On the AutoPlay tab check that the correct actions are specified. If the AutoPlay tab is missing click here

Hi VoG,
The autoplay tab is there and everything is the same as the dvd drive, also did
( click Start, Run and enter SERVICES.MSC Scroll down to Shell Hardware Detection and make sure this service is Started and set to Automatic.)
And it was.
I have just looked at the CD from "my computer" and it is still showing a previous disc.( a verse printer of the wifes)
The dvd drive works fine, SO will it be a hardware problem? i.e. will I have to buy anotherdisc drive.
Cheers,
Flobby

Have you restarted to see if the previous disk still shows?

flobby,

scroll down and click on number 10, click on file, and save page as, and double click on the download.

Hi Joe R & Vog.
Clicked on No. 10 and it automatically gave me the download box, I downloaded (after uninstalling Microsoft Anti-Spyware, as this would not let me download the file)I downloaded and ran it. Restarted and It still will not autorun.
Vog after the restart it now shows the audio Cd that is in the drive
Cheers,
Flobby
