CD Copying

I have a CD ROM drive (E:) and a separate CD Writer drive (D:). How can I copy direct from one drive to the other without saving it onto the computer? I am using XP and windows media player and have been told that this is possible but can't find any option to do this. Any help greatfully recieved....

Hi, does your burner software support copy on the fly ? if yes read source from your E\ drive and write with D\ drive, nero, clonecd and alchohol have this feature.

that link is dead so i used click here instead. it works pretty well but it's a tad slow. can i change the speed of my writer? i'm not sure what it's max speed is or how i find out. also when i try to play the CD on my hifi it plays all tracks except the first one?

It's governed by the speed of you CD player. You will find it faster to just put the CD you want to copy into the burner and click copy then put a disc in when it ask's for it
