There are arguments for & against. This one click here, says not to do it. They are recreated anyway, so do as you please. G

I have tried leaving them & deleting the files, there appears to be no difference even with perfect Disc defragger using them.

I think modern drives are getting to the point where defragging & Prefetch don't make the differance they did. I'm still clinging on to my belief that defragging regularly makes a difference but to be honest I think I may have to change on that one too.
