Hi,

this may be a silly question but what does the new Windows HotFix Uninstaller cleaner in the latest version of CCleaner actually do, and is it safe to use this new option?

Cheers Chris.

I like the Windows Hotfix Uninstaller feature. That is a very handy way of clearing out tons of dead registry entries, freeing up disk space, etc.

You can boot a couple of seconds faster if you haven't done a clean install in a long time.

Not certain, but I think it removes the (obsolescent and superseded) Windows Hotfix uninstall folders left over after a system is updated to XP-SP2; see click here
