CCleaner help please

Is there any instructions that are available for the running of "CCleaner"? Having downloaded the programme I am nervous of taking off on my own and the help file on the programme seems to be just a tour of the capabilities of the programme. I want my PC to run leaner, BUT I do not want to edit anything that I really should not.

Help or a link would really be appreciated

click here for advice from a learned forum member. In truth Ihave always just accepted the default settings and let it do it`s stuff. No adverse effects although you will have to log in to websites the first time you revisit them e.g. PCA Forums

I've got mine configure to clean out everything on startup,Which I think are the default settings.

I've had this program for sometime now and have never had a problem with it.

But take a look here.

Thanks guys, I will first read up on Taff's link and see what is recommended. Slayer and adman2, both of these links I have read earlier, but I wanted more definitive instructions, but thanks anyway
