Is Cardfile Vista compatible?

My first computer which ran Windows 3.11 had Cardfile installed. I have used this ever since and it contains volumes of vital information gathered over the years and is installed in my current computer running XP. I'm thinking of buying a new computer running Vista. Does Cardfile run on Vista?

But is the original MS Cardfile version compatible?

Only real test is to try it, you could try compatability mode...

Vista 32 bit version and cardfile work with each other but Vista 64 bit version is NOT compatible with cardfile.

I built my new computer and found out that I am going to have to replace my cardfile with something that will work with Vista 64

but had to have it in root directory (ie C:/Cardfile)for it to be recognised as it is limited to the old limited character (dos)title.

I also like and use Cardfile.

azzCardfile costs £21.69 to register, the old MS cardfile is free.
