can't uninstall nav

i'm having problems with my nav 2002 i can't enable auto protect,it seems to freeze when i try,i can't uninstall it because it says i have to disable it first but the icons on the tool bar have a red x,so it looks like it is disabled i can manully do a scan and the firewall works ok, what do i do now please help

were your virus definitions up to date? there are viruses which make it behave this way.
Use control/alt/delete keys to bring up your task manager and 'end task' for any NAV programs running.

When your starting your computer keep tapping the F8 key and then choose SAFE MODE. NAV will not load and you can uninstall from safe mode and use the RNAV tool from above.
