Can't stop Outlook 2003 Auto Name Checking

I have unchecked the Auto Name Check box under advanced email options in Outlook 2003 but the program still checks them. If I put a new email address in my Outlook contact file and then try to address an email, Outlook suggests the old address and says it can't find the new address even though the Check Name option box is unchecked.

How can I get it to stop checking?

Why does it suggest old email addresses?
