Can't set up a dial-up Internet connection

I have a computer running XP Professional which currently has no Internet connection. I have been trying to set one up by using the New Connection Wizard. However after choosing to 'Set up connection manually', when I get to the screen which asks you to choose between Dial-up, Broadband conection with username and conventional Broadband, the first two options are greyed out, leaving only Broadband.

I have a second PC and a laptop which both allow me to add a dial-up connection. The modem in the first PC is working as it will dial up a phone number and works with fax software. Any clues?
