Hi,

I have a folder left over from a user account that has long since been deleted but when I try and delete the folder (which is located in C:\Document and Settings) I get a message: Cannot delete Showfolder[1]:cannot find specified file. - I've tried renaming, rebooting and deleting it, I've tried deleting in in safe mode but to no avail....am i stuck with this folder?....it seems to be taking up 900+ megabites according to the properties...please help!!!

Have you tried opening the folder or is one of those more unusual extensions. I seem to remember a while ago on this forum an application for opening such files was listed

Hi Torwalker, yes but the folder appears to be empty.

Thanks Joe and VoG, I tried all those but they seem to go on the assumption that the folder can't be deleted because it's in use, whereas the message is saying: Cannot delete Showfolder[1]:cannot find specified file

What to do???? :(
