can't restart after installing Go Back

I've just finished reinstalling Windows on my laptop in order to install SP2. All went well until I installed GoBack, which I had on the machine before installing SP2. The computer wouldn't start Windows. Finally managed to restart by selecting "last known configuration that worked" after disabling GoBack from the start up splash screen. I'd like to re-enable GoBack if I could first identify the problem.

Has anyone else had this problem, and got it sorted?

I suspect that windows restore is conflicting with GoBack. Disable Windows System Restore and all should be fine hopefully.

Thanks -but if I do that, then I still have problems, presumably I won't be able to start using "last known configuration that worked" - is that informatio not part of system restore? Also, I've had GoBack on 4 other computers and not had this problem?
