Can’t print to an XP laser from networked WIN98 machine

I have a XP Home machine with a laser networked with a Win98SE machine.

I have shared all my XP files and the laser.(laser connected via USB to the XP machine)

I can access all my XP files from the WIN98 machine, but can’t print to the laser.
I have both XP and WIN98 drivers on the XP machine

I have Norton Firewall in place which causes me no other issues.

Any idea on how to get the laser working from the WIN98 machine please

From the 98 machine. Add a printer (from Start - Printers, choose Network Printer and when asked browse to the printer attached to the XP machine. You will more than likely need during the add printer wizard to add the drivers to the 98 machine. If the drivers are capable of setting up a network printer then you should be OK. Keep in mind that some printers are not able to work across a network due to driver limitations. You may be able to get updated drivers from the manufacturer's website.
