Can't play Mpegs

Since updating my Nvidia display driver I find that when I try to play an Mpeg file on Media Player, REAL Player or WinAmp I just get a green screen although the audio still works. My current video driver is 6.14.11.6371 dated 17/9/2007 and my card is a Geforce 6800.

Hi, not sure I understand your problem correctly.

If you are referring to a video image, just ensure you have software installed that will play a DVD, such as Power DVD. WMP, whilst playing DVD, actually uses the codecs from your installed third party software. If that is not present, then it follows that WMP will fail to give the display.

If you do not have any DVD playing software installed, here is a free one.

or, further to exodus's post, try installing the k-lite codec pack, it certainly sounds like a codec problem. click here
