cant not find network

i have jst bought a wireless router and connected it to my pc which all works fine but when i try and find a network with my laptop it cant find any networks.

does anyone no what to do.

[1] Activate and configure the router's wireless LAN service if you have not already done so.
[2] Note the SSID (customising it is a good idea) and keep its broadcast on.
[3] Ensure that the client PC's WLAN adapter is active.
[4] Open the list of available networks via the WLAN icon in the system tray of the client PC, refresh the list, and connect.

If you don't see it, then you have not configured everything correctly. The above points assume the use of Windows WZC rather than 3rd party software.
