Hi Guys

I have the yellow updates shield in my ST but after going through the usual process of downloading/installing/reboot, I get the message that the 7 updates could not be installed.

Any ideas please

If you know the reference numbers of the updates that you're trying to install, go to the MS site, do a search for those updates and, hopefully, they will have .exe files available which will allow you to manually install them.

It might just be that the MS sites are overloaded. I had probs running Windows Update (i.e. not using Auto Update) this a.m. - it worked on 3rd attempt.

Managed 4 of 7 but stuck on the other 3, did what Clapton said but got myself a bit lost trying.

I encountered the same problem on one of the test PCs here in the office. I ran the Windows Update Repair Tool (without allowing it to re-install IE), and it's done the job. Thanks for the pointer, I'll see whether we can get permission to include the tool on the next cover disc.
