Cant install scanner in XP

  dolphinaber 22:59 20 Feb 03

I have updated my base unit and now have XP . I am trying to install a Epson GT7000 USB which I used with my Windows 98 and it tells me I should not continue as if I do I will get problems or can I continue and ignore.
How can I get round this problem please ?

You need to go to the Epson site and look for updated drivers that will work with XP.

there are no supported drives for it from epsom

however, i am sure there must be a generic driver for it

i will try and find it for you

Epson don't even seem to list the GT7000 USB

zipped driver files for Epson 636U scanner, installs under Windows XP as an "Epson GT7000U." Works OK, scans directly into PhotoDraw, other apps. I added the "USBSCAN.sys" files and others to the archive, so the install utility should find everything in a single directory

This site gives GT7000 drivers for Windows 2000. click here
Wiser heads than mine will advise if these would work in XP
