Can't get USB 2.0 to work.

I have an MSI KT3 Ultra2 mobo with Via chipset. There are 2 integral USB ports and a 2 usb port bracket connected to a pin-out on the mobo which is supposed to be USB 2. Operating system is XP Pro with SP2. Device Manager says that I have a Via USB Enhanced Host Controller, amongst others.

After a new MP3 player requested a faster drive, which was apparently available, I tested all of the USB ports by uploading digital photos and the rate was the same on all ports i.e. 0.5Mb/sec.

There are no drivers on the Mobo disk and non on the MS site. Do I need them.

If you are running xp, then sp2 is required.
