A few more details would help.

Do you have a broadband as well as dialup connection or just dialup?

I'm assuming you have both configured. If you have both and your broadband ISP is set as Default then the connection will always be attempted through that route.

In the DUN Connection panel you should be able to use the drop down menu and highlight the dialup alternative(s) to use the modem to connect.

Try this, and remember the spaces.

Open the command prompt from the Srart Menu or go to Run and type cmd
At the prompt Type
cd\windows\system32 press enter

Next Type regsvr32 netman.dll and Hit Enter

Then type regsvr32 netcfgx.dll and Hit Enter

Then type regsvr32 netshell.dll and hit Enter

Each time you hit enter you should get a response saying succeeded

Lastly Type Exit and press Enter
Restart your computer
