For some reason I can't get into the BIOS with the use of the delete key anymore, it just will not work. Any ideas?

Sorry I forgot to mension that the post screen starts with "MBUltra133 CPDC20 BIOS not installed because there are no drivers installed"

What BIOS have you got? (I can't find any reference to CPDC20 BIOS )

Does your delete key work otherwise? (ie. in Word)

With XP and an AMD 1600 proc. the post ran by so fast (pause key not working either) I am not quite sure of the CPDC20 part. Belec Advisor tells me that the BIOS is: BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 07.00T 07/09/2002.

Is it possible to go to your Motherboard Manufacturer's website and download a new driver for the BIOS? There's also a possibilty that your keyboard is on the way out.

Have you tried the F10 key or F2 key instead of delete?

Is the keyboard ps2? Or is it usb,Ir ect.

try reseting the bios, to defaults, through the cmos jumper.

It is a Gygabyte MB and the installation CD has a BIOS Flash Utility for updating, would this help?

The delete key has always worked before and it is Megatrends normal way of entry (from the instruction book)I think that the post message, no bios drivers installed is the problem.

The CMOS jumper! now there's a point. I shall have to delve into that as a last resort, Everything seems to be working other than not being able to access the BIOS, I forget why I wanted to do that now.

It is USB

What keyboard are you using? I had a problem with using a wireless and a usb keyboard when I plugged an old ps2 one in I could get in no problems.
