'can't find URL ..' error message, then..

the page loads.
I am using firefox 2.03 and XP pro. I access favourite sites from shortcuts on my desktop. i.e. the shortcut opens firefox and then loads the URL page.
Recently, when activated, an error message appears saying
"cannnot find (say)[click here...]. check spelling etc...."
A few seconds later the browser opens and the page loads. Is the browser taking too long to open? why has this only just started to happen?
To save me having to keep clicking to close error messages which are not true, has anyone else had this problem or knowledge of what I can do to change it? Cannot find anything in the search box. Thanks, Bob

it was just an illustration like
[http :// www. pcadvisor .co. uk/] which the error message contains.I didn't realise it would reformat.

No takers, but I can see how fast the problems are arriving, I'll give this a bump occassionally
