i had trouble with movie maker on vista so someone recommended dvd flick which i downloaded and it was fine, then it just stopped working
so could anyone tell me of a free programme that allows me to convert and burn my downloads to dvd but without a great big advert/flash running through the middle of film
im downloading movies which usually come up as avi

sorry if this sounds a bit confusing, but its difficult for me to explain in proper pc terms as i havent got a clue what they are
thank you

DVDFlick is a free program, you shouldn't have any ads on it's output. But if you're downloading avis then try Nero, it automatically encodes avis during the burning process.

It thought you meant that DVDFlick was putting an advert/flash on your output, I must have picked you up wrong. No Nero is not free, you can download a trial from click here But back to DVDFlick: Try downloading and reinstalling it again click here I have no idea why it should just stop working for you.
