Can't delete an ex-system folder - XP

  Brian-336451 10:45 14 Aug 04

I've merged a couple of partitions in Partition Magic and the second partition contents then are saved as a folder on the first partition.

I've moved my files 'properly' into the merged partition but now cannot delete the 'old' folder as it has System Volume Information file for a partition that doesn't exist anymore.

I've tried in Safe Mode, but still can't achieve my aim of 'cleaning up' after myself.

Anyone help - (yes I've tried changing attributes etc but to no avail).

providing you have a fat32 file system, download a Win98 boot disk, put it onto a floppy and boot from it. Delete the folder from DOS.

If you need command line instructions post the location of the file you want to delete e.g. C:\foldername\filename
