I am getting a message "Defragmentation of VAIO(C:) has been aborted due to inconsistencies that were detected in the file system. Please run CHKDSK or SCANDISK on VAIO (C:) to repair these inconsistencies, then run Disk Defragmenter again.

VAIO refers to the SONY system I have. Windows XP Home. 3 GHz P4 with HT.
ATI RADEON 9200 with 128 MB DDR SDRAM.
160 GB HD
Anyone any clues to fix it?

Have you run checkdisk?

Open my computer, right click on the disk, choose properties and from tools you can run it.
