however, i can get my incoming email fine

but i cannot send any email as it is not connecting to my smtp server, i know the settings are right

after asking me for my password for a million times i get fed up and click cancel, then it gives me the error message about being unable to connect, can any one help me

please

i cant find the answer on the thunderbird site

What have you got in the Outgoing Server (SMTP) Settings? You should just have Server Name and the default port number (25). "Use name and password" should be unchecked.

I have "Use name and passworded" ticked and it works just fine for me.
