If she's connecting wirelessly, this probably indicates that the wireless adapter has been unable to connect to the router to get its IP address.

Try deleting the existing 'profile' click here and then go through the procedure to "Connect" again.

Try right clicking the internet icon in system tray and select repair.

If nothing listed in 'connect to' then I'd try a system restore if 'repair' won't work.

Microsoft fix-it; click here

  mgmcc 07:59 03 Apr 10

>>> client for microsoft networks
>>> file and printer sharing for microsoft networks
>>> qos packet scheduler
>>> imternet protocall(tcp.ip)

*DON'T ALTER* any of those, that's not what I was suggesting.

If you're connecting with Windows' Wireless Zero Configuration, as opposed to software supplied with the network adapter, there will be a Wireless Networks tab alongside the one you're looking at. click here Within that you'll see the network profiles; delete the one with which you are having problems.

If you're using third-party software supplied with the network adapter, 'profiles' will have been saved within its settings which, again, you can delete.
