Hi, A folder is constantly open on my XP desktop. Please can someone tell me how to close it? Here is a snapshot of the left hand side of my desktop:

I am assuming there is no close (X) button?

When you have clicked in the folder to make it active, can you press the Alt key and the F4 function key simultaneously, and maybe that will at least close it. As to why there would be no close (X) button in the window, I don't know...

Alt and F4 was the answer, thank you very much for that!!!!
