Can't Close Down Without This Warning!

Each time I try to close down my Vista Ultimate PC I get a warning that a program is still running.

How can I close down without this warning? I close everything that I'm running but it still says that 'eng' is running and I have to say 'Close anyway' before it does actually do so.

The usual message is this:

"Program is still running"
"TaskEng"
"Task Scheduler Engine process is closing programs down ... do you want to ignore or wait".

Any help appreciated

If anyone can help, this problem still exists.

Non of the methods mentioned worked, so I reinstalled Windows with a non destructive installation.

It's cured that problem and a host of other annoying little reoccuring incidents as well.

It took a few hours and all I needed to do was reinstall some printer drivers.

The whole system also runs five times faster.

I must have had a really messed up registry.

Thanks again.

Good, glad you sorted it by yourself, very satisfying.
