Can't cancel on-screen keyboard

  Toffeeapple 21:33 10 Jan 08

When I first set up my computer I couldn't get the wireless keyboard to work and instead came across the ease of access option and clicked on "On-screen keyboard". I gave up with the wireless keyboard and bought a wired keyboard but I am becoming so frustrated at not being able to cancel the on-screen keyboard coming onto the screen when I turn my computer on. I have tried "run" and typing in "msconfig" and choosing the start-up tab but I cannot tell which one belongs to the on-screen keyboard. I have Vista Home Premium. Hope someone has the answer for me please.

Go to Control panel > Ease of Access > Under use Computer without keyboard or mouse you will find a check box for the On-Screen Keyboard. Un-Check it and hit “SAVE” not apply. It will prompt you to re-start. That should fix the problem.
