Can't burn 0.99GB of data onto a DVD-R

DVDs are about 4.37GB in size? So why does it keep saying when I copy 0.99GB of files onto there, a message comes up "Not enough space on DVD-R drive, addidtional 700MB needed"....

What is going on?

I think this is A HDD issue, ergo where you are temporarily storing the file (destinaation folder)to be burnt is not big enough...

I thought that too, but I get a different error message for that, "Not enough room on C:/" and I sorted that out, there is plenty of room

Not a lot of Info hear, but what type of files are you trying to burn also are you trying to put them in the same folder on the DVD???

Not forgetting that if Video or Sound Files these will most likely be compressed, And the DVD software will or may see this as taking up more space than uncompressed files
